Do you have an excellent ability to correct grammatical errors, printing errors, and pick up the smallest mistakes time and time again? Do you have a strong understanding of the written word and the English language?

City Staffing is currently seeking professional proofreaders with an impeccable eye for errors. Our various freelance opportunities are with companies who offer fast-paced, exciting, creative environments.
*Please note that previous PROFESSIONAL PROOFREADING experience is required.
• These positions entail proofreading (not editing) and quickly turning around large documents so that no typo leaves the department
• Candidates must be self-managing, able to work as part of a cohesive team and efficient and organized with their own work
• Ability to proof hard copy documents, PowerPoint presentations (printed and on-screen), websites, as well as various types of creative collateral
• Advertising agency experience and medical proofreading (AMA) experience is a huge plus!
• As with all our positions, great communication skills and a positive attitude are a must

All candidates will be assessed with our proofreading exam (version comparison) and must score high marks to be considered. The assessment will measure your proficiency in the areas of grammar, spelling, punctuation and word usage (primary errors), as well as your attention to detail and general powers of observation (secondary errors).
